Soria Insurance Marketing Services is a family-owned business with offices located in Visalia and Selma, CA. We (Micaela and Lalo Soria) are a grandfather-grandaughter duo. Lalo founded the insurance portion of the company in 1982 when he first became licensed and began helping individuals with their life insurance policies. Over time, Lalo's focus slowly shifted towards the Medicare markets and in 2017, Micaela also became licensed. Understanding the difficulties of establishing a start-up business, the company has since expanded to focus not only on insurance, but on helping other small business owners with all their marketing, social media, and design needs.
Together, we work with people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. We wholeheartedly believe that there's a plan and ample opportunity available to anyone who seeks it, and we've dedicated our working lives to finding solutions that works for our clients' needs.
We pride ourselves on staying informed and up-to-date by technological standards, meeting and exceeding compliance and ethics guidelines, and in finding cost-effective solutions for our clients.
Micaela Soria
Micaela found her start in the marketing industry in 2015 as the Marketing Coordinator for Modern Broker, Inc., located in Visalia, CA. After some time in the industry, Micaela went on to start her own marketing firm, Omicron Digital. However, just as the business was beginning to launch, a fire threatened Micaela's dreams, destroying both her camera and computer equipment.
In 2017, Micaela decided to join the family business and acquired her life and health insurance license. She has made a successful career for herself as an insurance broker, but still possesses a deep-seeded passion for marketing and design.
In 2019, Micaela was recognized for her contributions to Visalia County Center Rotary, serving as their Communications and Social Media Director and earning her the 'Young Professional of the Year' award.
In 2022, Micaela graduated with honors from College of the Sequoias - Visalia, with an associate's degree in Business. She now serves in a board position for Visalia Community Rotaract, designs and maintains the organization's website, and helps manage their social media and online accounts.
Lalo Soria
After serving his country as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne (Vietnam Era), Lalo soon found himself taking on leadership roles in civilian life. In the early 70's, Lalo and his family moved from the Merced area to Visalia, CA. During this time, Lalo worked in retail management, providing a stable income for his family.
Following his entrepreneurial spirit, Lalo soon ventured out on his own, becoming a licensed insurance broker in 1982, and founding Soria Insurance Marketing Services.
For many years, S.I.M.S. focused on the life insurance and annuities markets. It was not until the early 2000's that Lalo found new purpose in aiding Medicare beneficiaries with their insurance benefits.
Lalo has since opened an office in Selma, CA, and assists clients all over the Central Valley. What once started as a dream, has now become a promise, as Lalo and Micaela continue to provide assistance to their clients in Fresno, Tulare, Kings, and Kern Counties.
